international day
today's smu's international day...... quite fun... really not bad. i think they must haf spent quite an amount on tentage. me and joyce walked ard and was glad there were some alternative choices to food haven's food. =) heehee.... ate some wrap thingy that's totally filling and which prevented us from getting turkish icecream. really think smu shld organise more of such events to add spice into boring sch life........
events are fun. that's y i love being in events. walked ard the booths and ritchie talked me into trying some contact rugby stunt that included slamming myself into this big cushion held up by another guy. gee. i stared at him and said, "but that's so not me!" but haha! i tried it anyway, of coz without putting much strength or effort into it. he told me to imagine that its my ex (coz i told him i juz bumped into calvin)... haha! but i'm so over it oredi lah.
wanted to play with the bow and arrows (ie archery), but didn't get a chance... coz too many pple. but toked to yining and found out smthg really interesting. u know on the arrow there are the tiny lil wing thingys at the end rite? well... arrows do not come all ready to shoot. u've gotta glue the wing thingys, the pointed part in the front and the clip at the end on the metal rod b4 u can call it an arrow and use it! soo interesting rite?? haha! u learn smthg new everyday.
asked ritchie and yining wat incentives / benefits they got out of setting up booths for the event. their ans: nothing. hmm........ made me realise how passionate some pple are for their clubs and how willing they are to contribute to the welfare of the sch. am impressed. coz i always tot that incentives must be given in order for pple to commit to such events. oh well.... there are pple like me after all. and quite a number of them too. =)
back to the bumping into calvin incident......
it was apparent that lijen was bringing him ard or smthg. she was with him. and i walked straight into them along the walkway to haven. gee..... was so damn shocked. he was in an orange checked shirt. he always had a thing for orange - thinks he looks good in that color. well, he obviously hasn't changed much. still as short. still looks exactly the same. hmm... not that i was expecting a huge change..... still as ungentlemanly. juz grinned at me. didn't even say hi! didn't attempt to stop to exchange some pleasantries. and said loudly (loud enough for everyone ard to hear) to lijen... "stunned dio4".............. i guess i must haf really looked v in shock, with eyes wide open. watever.
actually, i shld not be so affected by this bumping-into-ex incident. in fact, i'd better get used to it...... he'll be coming in nxt yr. yeeks.
