spent the entire day out. ktv with deedee, alvin n mich in the morning. then roamed around in town on my own in the aft b4 meeting CCC for dinner at esplanade in the evening. it was a good day.

was half thinking of heading home after the ktv session which ended at 2pm... but its the weekend! i shouldn't be spending it at home.... n its quite sian to go home n come out again for dinner at 630. 4hours is not that long anyway.... i spent it roaming around heeren, looking for a bday pressie for isabel (capap colleague) who coincidentally shares the same bday as my mum, got my sunglasses fixed in some random eyewear shop there, then headed to paragon to look at phones..... got abit hungry n tired from walking, so went to swensons and had an apple crumble meant for 2. hahaha........ as i was observing all the pple in swensons, realised that i was the only person alone there (ok, except for a tourist angmoh woman), n many pple looked at me strangely bcoz i was alone.... =) but its ok. i'm at peace. if it were a few months back, i prob wouldn't haf felt comfortable being alone at a table in a restaurant, but i kinda enjoy it now - having the means to pay for my tea n just doing some reading with the intermittent people watching. independence is cool.

made my way to esplanade and arrived at 6pm. the first thing xiayi said when she saw me was "u're so dark!" AHHHHH..... i'd better start on some whitening masks..... dinner at ichiban boshi was good. i love the wasabi! its sooo fresh! n we all kept toking n toking, not even realising that it was 10pm oredi. today, strangely, there was quite some tok abt babies n motherhood. other topics included difficulty in meeting new guys in our current lives, christianity n of coz updates on work.

its nice to have a grp of frens whom u can share ur lives with. n i do agree with kelly that it'll be cool if we get pregnant at the same time so we can be a support grp as well. HAH. but then again, i SO do not wanna get pregnant anytime soon. i still cant imagine that. no way. as of now, i'm still afraid of pregnancy. but the whole topic is kinda out of point since none of us have a significant other anyway, haha.

btw, can see my cute, designer handpainted tee from BKK?? its so cute n bright! i love it ;)

i attended some meetings today. they were interesting =) they were not even like big shot meetings, but still, i witnessed conflicts and so much politics in play. i'm beginning to enjoy my position as a trainee. i dun need to bear any real responsibility, am not expected to perform like a star player, have less jobs than the interns (since they cant treat us like interns n give us mundane brainless tasks), get to rotate ard depts to understand each's job functions and the best part is being able to observe office politics without being directly involved. its so fun being an observer in the midst of all the drama. =)

with regards to my breakup, i used to think and hope that by explaining myself to others and how i came to my 'silly' decision, they will understand and actually see things abit more from my perspective. but seriously, i have no need to. i've come to a conclusion that nobody, absolutely no one, will ever understand my decision. and its ok, bcoz i'm accountable only to my Lord.

"You are forever in my life
You see me through the seasons
Cover me with Your hand
And lead me in Your righteousness
And I look to You
And I wait on You
I'll sing to You, Lord
A hymn of love
For Your faithfulness to me
I'm carried in everlasting arms
Youll never let me go
Through it all.
Hallelujah."
-Through it all, Hillsongs.

a part of me wished i didn't hafta return home bcoz i think days abroad, due to all the distractions and challenges, will somehow always be more exciting, happy and enjoyable. life back home and work is boring, and i'm still exhausted, still not used to working life and hours. i've got a problem - my supervisor's soft and really sweet voice always puts me to sleep although i'm sitting just next to her as she teaches us about credit management, productivity gaps etc. oh well, think its a skill to learn too? to not fall aslp at work or appear not alsp.

i'm troubled, despite being still quite high from the trip. its like i've learnt to compartmentalise different parts of me and my emotions........ n take them out only at appropriate times, ie separate work and personal life.

feng is still not better. i'm not sure how i can help him or if he wans/needs my help anyway. he msned me the very first nite i was back in sg.... n made me cry. its not his fault. nothing is. i realised my heart is so soft now, countless of things make me cry. think i'm beginning to be the real crybaby i really am bcoz somehow, i'm no longer afraid of wat ppl think of me when i tear coz its really none of their biz...... i think he is still holding on to alot of our memories together... but there's nothing much i can do as well to help or encourage him. SIGH....... sometimes i think i'll remain a spinster after this relationship, bcoz i feel not many guys can match up to feng. its rare to find someone who accepts and loves u the way u are aint it? sigh. life is one tough road. but take heart! for Christ has overcomed the world and is with me. He has oredi prepared n planned everything. Having HOPE and placing it all in Jesus, is the most important thing in my temporal life, i've realised and believe.

work commences....

rite, i'm back n its really good to be home coz altho i enjoyed myself thoroughly abroad, i still miss my mummy.

my time in bangkok was nothing short of fantabulous. i made many new frens who're really nice pple. i mean, of coz there were some who're not so nice and unpopular, but u learn to deal with the good n bad in life. overall, it was great fun n kudos to the real frenly n hospitable thai frens who planned activities for us and brought us to cool places. i'm really lazy to write abt everything we did, so i'm just gonna copy n paste from our facebook group n elaborate alil. haha

September 3, 2007: CAPAP Kick-off at Bangkok - had dinner with various CFOs n biz heads
September 4, 2007: dinner at a really interesting restaurant - Cabbages & Condoms. then Suan Lum Night Bazaare (shopping)

September 6, 2007: Movie Night at Siam Paragon
September 7-8, 2007: Team Building Activities at Baan Pha Ngam - some mountain resort where we did the typical rope challenges. it was a nice place. we could see thousands of twinkling stars n had an encounter with a snake.
September 8, 2007: photohunt, hotplate dinner + ktv at Esplanade
September 9, 2007: Royal Palace + Chatuchak Market (my fave shopping place)
September 10, 2007: Thai Traditional Massage (for 2hours! wow!) + Pizza dinner

September 12, 2007: Run/Jog/Bike at the Park (i biked)
September 13, 2007: Khao San Road (shopping again)
September 15-16, 2007: Samed Island - beach getaway where we played frisbee, monkey in the sea, volleyball, soccer and banana boat!!! whee!
September 17, 2007: Study...
September 18, 2007: Study... supposely. but i gave up n went to highlight my hair. wahahaha
September 19, 2007: Burn midnight oil.......
September 20, 2007: Exam! + Dinner at Sorn Thong + Night out at Route 66 - my first ever time clubbing
September 21, 2007: End of Block I! + Lunch together at MK Gold Ekamai + Platinum (shopping again) + chitchatting till late
September 22, 2007: last minute shopping for me at Tesco supermarket + farewell

as u can see, it was fun-packed. n becoz i'm so popular, everyone came to my room nearly everynite to chitchat (gossip) and/or study. n my room became the hotel within the hotel coz my thai fren came to stay over in my room. okie, i'm kidding abt the popular part.... just so happened my room was at a very central location on the floor we were all on. n of coz i got along with most peeps too ah =)

ok.... i'm still quite exhausted from the trip.... slept like most parts of sunday except for the few hours in church. n was still falling aslp this afternoon at my 1st day of work bcoz it was sooo boring! basically, we were asked to familiarise ourselves with the corporate strategies of siemens and the programs they've implemented and guidelines from the intranet. gosh... me and isabel (fellow sg capap) nearly fell aslp at our work stations. but i'm sure it'll get better; first days are always lydat. rite now, we're in Corporate Risk Management for 2weeks. we'll be rotating for the next 7weeks to Logistics, Accounting and Finance and maybe some biz unit too... i'm sure will be able to get a good feel of the corporate departments. then the others will come to SG end november n it'll be my turn to play host. yikes!

anyway.... i'll post some slideshow next time..... photos are still with isabel. think the CAPAP team took like more than 1GB of photos altogether. so kua1 zhang1 rite?

ok, time for sleep. nitenite

Wenshan

had lunch with wenshan today. she's a real blessing to me. ever since secondary sch i guess =) its kinda funny how we became close. it was alll becoz of NDP'99 where NY girls was involved in a dance item which made us dress up in this super ugly leotard, sequinned costume with a cape. haha, like superhero lydat. yes that's us there... really ugly get up. =(

anyway, wenshan n i were in the same banner group (we had to dance around then fold out this huge banner with mindef's logo or smthg on it n parade the banner ard). we just clicked really well. after that, she just kept coming over to my class n hung out w my clique. peishan, wenshan n i (thats the 3 of us on the right) became rather close n ppl always said we look like sisters in all the neoprints we took =)

after all these years, we still meet up regularly n she's just been such a blessing esp the past few mths when i was dealing with the breakup. i was still v emotionally unstable n kept tearing up when i met her for meals.... she showered so much tender loving care n constantly encouraged n prayed for me. i felt guilty coz i kept toking abt my struggles n not showing enough care abt how she is. n her reply was such a gracious "there's a season for everything." i thank God for such a loving, caring, wise and God-fearing sister.

today, as we were toking abt my past relationship, i started tearing up again. sigh.... i guess when u're really comfortable with somebody who really understands, u wont be afraid to be totally urself...... really feel that we've both grown soo much. she's become very matured n wise, n i'm so happy that she's doing wat she loves, learning so much everyday and is happily attached to a God-fearing man.
you know how in teenage years everybody always wrote "keep in touch, frenz forever"? sadly not many frenships stand the test of time. i'm confident that this frenship will. =)
