back home
goodbye to holiday in perth. hello singapore, nus, school, work again. yucks.
the flight back was the worst ever. first, b4 even boarding the plane, they confiscated both my huge stuffed toys. u see, my bro won them in some amusement park long ago n asked me to bring them home. one's a huge bright orange dragon w cute wings, the other a white furry boxing gorilla. anyway, apparently there're some tiny styrofoam balls in their body, n these balls are highly dangerous in aircrafts. bcoz when these balls rub against one another, there'll be friction n might result in an explosion in high altitudes. gosh. i seriously doubt it's as fatal as the security officer put it, but oh well, who am i to put a whole plane full of people in danger bcoz my my huge stuffed toys?.... at least they said they'll call my bro up to collect them back.
next, in the middle of the flight, a lady sitting in the middle block threw up on the aisle right beside me. she was coming back fr the loo, havent got to her seat n threw up. sighz..... the smell wasn't pleasant, to say the least. n the airstewardess couldn't do anything but to cover the patch up with newspaper n a blanket n spray alot of airfreshener. but after awhile, can still smell abit... sighz, really wasn't v fun at all.
n then later, as i was watching harry potter 4 till i was all engrossed n midway thru, the movie stopped playing. only this movie! the rest were all still functioning. aiyohz... so pekchek. n i went to slp. bleahz. suddenly, i awoke n felt like puking coz the flight was so unstable n air was stale. thank goodness i always have my trusty axe brand medication oil with me.
back to sch tmr!! sooo sianz

today's visit to the suburb wasn't v fun or eventful. the nike factory outlet tt i wanted to visit had moved to the city n pavillion market's shops were so uninteresting. oh well.... at least we managed to get some more really fresh fruits - apples, peaches, pears, mangos, rockmelon. n bro came to pick us up after work n we went for dinner at northbridge. wow! i had ribs n steak combo. it was superb. yumyum!
today's weather is much cooler...... was feeling v cold after dinner, esp w the winds... think its abt 16degrees n didn't haf my jacket w me. =p

day5 perth, caversham wildlife park
i saw manymany animals today! so happy =) there were parrots, peacocks, chickens, swans, ducks, owls, eagles, goats, camels, horses, llamas, rabbits, guinea pigs, quokkas, tasmania devils, wallabies, emus, wombats, kangeroos and of coz, koalas. there was this enclosure full of kangeroos n a bin full of kangeroo food. u can juz grab a handful n go round feeding the kangeroos of ur choice. hehe. i fed a smaller size one, (coz was afraid the bigger ones will box me, they look damn tough man) n it rested its forearms on my thigh. hehe, very tame =) towards the end of the trail, there was a koala enclosure n i got to touch one too. its fur is really nice n soft. too bad my cam ran outta batt n mama only managed to take one pic of me w the koala. but nvm lah, i had alot with the kangeroos. but the highlight of the day must be the hugging of miss wombat n photos w her. oh gosh, she's really fat n huge n ugly. 8yrs old n 26kg. but my goodness! she is so nice to hug! her fur is super smooth, she's warm n fat n i juz wanted to squeeze her real tight. haha! so tame too....... n absolutely no tempers altho she's being tranfered fr one person's thigh to another. made me wish i had something like her to hug whenever i feel down. den i can juz bury my face in her nice warm fur n feel some warmth. =)
after the park, we went to a choc factory. gosh, the chocs there are delicious! n real ex too. but we couldn't resist n still got our fill. my fridge will be all stocked up w tasty chocs! yay!
we've been driving long distances for 2 days.... but its been fun. enjoying the diff scenery. yest's route was along the coast, so we could see the ocean n horizon all the time. today was midland, n there were all the desert-y trees n plants and beautiful wildflowers - totally different.
tmr will be more relax day. shopping again! but this time in the suburb. n no more driving too, juz the trusty ol bus.

day4 perth, penguin island
the weather wasn't as killing as yest's when it reached 41degrees celsius (we went shopping at perth city again, basically for the aircon), so we decided to travel down south to take a cruise - penguin n sea lion cruise. mama drove while i navigated with the map n we took slightly more than an hr to get to our destination. so freaking far! haha! almost late, so glad we caught the ferry on time. the ride was super nice bcoz the australian ocean is truly beautiful. very clear blues n greens. really really pretty. it was very sunny n i'm really tanned now, more so a villager than when i came back from thailand, haha, the sunblock didn't really help. but the winds were strong n super nice.
the ferry-driver was v knowledgeable n explained alot abt the diff species of birds n pelicans, their lifestyle, the way they fly etc. he drove ard a couple of smal rock islands where all the seabirds were. then we went to seal island, n we spotted 7 big sealions!! heehee, i was v happy. they're aussie sealions, a rare kind, bcoz they have thick brown fur instead of those kinda leathery skin. n they were juz lying on the beach like lumps of rock, sunning themselves, with seagulls lingering by their side. there was one humongous one in the water with its big head turned towards the sun. i took alot of photos of it. =)
enough of sealions, we arrived at penguin island, walked on the white fine sand n soaked our feet for awhile in the cool sea waters. then we went to witness the penguin feeding in the discovery centre. they were little penguins, smallest of their kind, of a v cute size. they haf their own little pool and are fed one-by-one. they haf names n respond to them, n supposedly wait for their turn to be hand-fed. these penguins are here in the centre mostly bcoz they were in some form of accident or abandoned by their parents n found by pple. such pampered birds! that are fed 3times daily. i'll wanna be abandoned too if i were them.
am beat fr the sun........ta

@ perth, day 2
i'm in perth now, staying at my bro's. its summer here.... n the sun down under is nothing but scorching hot. really, if i stay too long out, i'll develop a headache... the weather makes me wanna do nothing but sleep in only.haha, n that's basically wat i've been doing.
today, we went shopping at frementle market. i've been there many times, so there's nothing hugely interesting. in fact, all the shops are the same from wat i can remember. we bought some really fresh fruits, veg n honey. i bought smthg for feng's tank. =) hope it'll return in one piece.
mama cooked dinner tonite, so we had homecooked food. haha 2 dishes of bittergourd, but i love bittergourd so am not complaining. but my bro's kitchen is disgusting. there're hundreds of cockroaches crawling ard. they're the super puny kind, like one-hundredth of the normal sg kind. somehow i find them far more gross. but after thailand, i'm more receptive to such things...
tmr is shopping day at subiaco. really i've been to perth so many times, the oredi boring city is getting even more so. but aiyahz, its ok, this is suppose to be a ROC kinda hol anyway. i realised i really dun like life here n i'm so glad i chose not to come here years ago. much prefer sg. =)

i'm a sucker for romantic lines. several boliao online personality tests have proven that i'm much of a hopeless romantic too. haha. but too bad... none of the guys i've been with are much of a romantic.
anyway, juz the other nite during our nitely conversations on the phone, i told feng, "i'm in a romantic mood tonite" and asked him to say smthg romantic...... after several tries, we started exchanging mushy song titles or lyrics. and he came up with part of a bryan adams... "please forgive me.... if i cant stop loving u" wahahahah! i couldn't help but to burst out laughing. i told him, "that's so hilarious, i'm gonna write in my blog."
yes, i do love romantic sweet nothings. but most of the times, i cant help but laugh when i hear them, bcoz they're juz sooo cheesy n corny and sometimes so untrue! nonetheless, they're fun and i believe that such stuff do keep the love going.
and altho feng was scrolling thru his songlist when he said sincerely, "i'm dying inside to hold you now...........", my heart juz melted.

"Will you be happy without a car or landed property? Without fashionable clothes or accessories? Think carefully."
i think i will not.
but since i am neither blessed with great inheritance nor a rich boyfren, why not do it myself? i shall get there myself. not now. not in the near future. but eventually. eventually. i know its possible.
..........................................................................................................................................................................
maybe someday i will realise that these do not really make me happy. maybe my goals will change then. but allow me to hold on to my materialistic dreams for now.
