period moans
for a few days every month, i lament on the fact that i'm a girl n wish badly to be a guy. yes, the bane of any girl's existence - menstruation. no guy can ever understand this torture girls go thru. to quote a guy fren, "i cant imagine bleeding every month down below. that totally sux man."
forget the bleeding, forget the inconvenient pad we hafta place below, its really the cramps that are the killer - having to tolerate the serious abdominal pain n discomfort n carry on with our daily lifes as if nothing's wrong. often, when possible, many girls curl up n sleep the pain away. other times, our pink panadol comes in handy.
sigh, many times i wonder. why didn't God make us like animals? is menstruation part of the curse of painful childbirth??? most mammals do not suffer from the menstruation cycle. rather theirs is called the estrus cycle, where females become only sexually active certain times of the year, i.e. in heat. that's y there are seasons for mating. but if the female does not find a suitable mate to copulate with, there is no bleeding, instead the uterus lining is reorganised for the next cycle. izzant that juz great?! the only advantage of the menstrual cycle is that females can be sexually active anytime of the year, even when not ovulating. sigh... i think i can live without that. but i guess males cant.
