finally, a new phone
I havent blogged in ages. Why? Coz I was so so so busy last week. LKY biz plan deadline was on wed 31may, and for the last 2 weeks, I stayed up late practically every nite juz to figure out those freaking proforma financial statements. The Monday juz b4 31st, I slept at 5am. So amazing rite? Next day still had to go work.
Wat was i working so hard for? i not sure lehz.... esp since not all of us were working so hard together for this. i guess somehow figuring all those numbers out and making all the spreadsheets tie gave me a sense of achievement - smthg that seems to be seriously lacking in my internship.
I’m really not cut out for these finance stuff lah – so lousy, took so long to get it right. But I dare say that the end product is rather impressive – at least for me. Haha!
for now, i can take a rest since results will only be released end june. kinda contradictory - coz i hope we will get in, so can win more cash prize... but also apprehensive coz that will mean many more late nites and hard work practising presentation. sighz. i'm getting lazy.... thats no good. maybe it'll be better if everyone were as motivated n together as b4.
anyway, things at work seem to be picking up. at least i feel more useful, ie not juz tallying figures or zapping the whole morning away. i have started to liaise with the overseas subsidiaries directly. realised i enjoy communicating with others, even tho its like nothing significant, only thru email. but at least its someone else.. u know.
oh rite, n the most exciting thing that has happened to me recently is....... lalalala! i bought a NEW PHONE!!!! (deedee n darling wld be pleased to know, since they're always nagging abt my uncool n unhip phone - only in their opinion) as most of u know, i haf always used my first n only nokia 8310 which is nearly 5yrs old n considered ancient, but still functioning v well. n i'm proud of the fact that my 8310 is still okay n looks very well taken care of.
anyway, yes, my new phone is a samsung d520. a sleek slide up thingy that's of roughly the same size of a 8310. i like it alot n hope that it'll be as reliable as my previous phone.
was exceptionally pleased when i got the phone coz it was originally priced at $538. handed the guy my $500 voucher n extra 50bucks, but he returned me the cash coz the latest price has dropped to $495, n i still had 5bucks to spare! whee!! so i chose a $4.90 hp pouch. =) the money i "saved" will be spent on shoes!!!! GSS! wait for me!!
