TWOTWO 22
my 22nd birthday was wonderful. of coz not as great as last yr, but its wonderful in a different way - simple yet heart-warming.
the nite b4, mama presented me with a nice big pillow that is abit contoured - supposedly to support my neck, as i've been complaining abt neckaches n bad sleeps. n i was oredi v happy coz i like pillows! =) any kind.
in the morn, i woke up early to dress up - birthday mah! must wear nicenice. =) actually, this is the first yr in my entire life that i hafta go abt the routines of life. as in, need to go work. last time dun hafta go to sch... oh there was once i had TT training, but tt doesn't count la coz it din last the entire day. anyway, mama surprised me with a small bowl of sweet noodles + egg. then her usual angbao, PLUS a guess bag!!!! which was totally outta expectations since she oredi bought me a pillow. very happy coz the bag very nice - i like guess bags.
went to work dressed as if gg to a party or clubbing. haha, watever. its my bday n i didn't care. work was as per normal, but several frens surprised me with their sms wishes. THANKYOU! u know who u are. =)
went down to city hall to meet fengge for dinner. he was late - hmmph! but it wasn't for v long la... then we walked to esplanade where he made reservations at this place called Garlic restaurant (next to Thai Express). the food was ok...... but overpriced. he ate their famous chilli crab noddle, which was more like mee rebus with a softshell crab on top. i ate garlic cheese sausages with pasta, n the sausages were like the buy-from-cold-storage kind. haha.... n halfway thru the dinner, other customers all left, leaving us being the only customers. i teased him, "dear, u love me sooo much u booked the entire restaurant for me hor?"
he gave me a pressie wrapped in an ugly wrapper that's blue n got lots of louhan fishes on it. it turned out to be a 512MB SD card. plus my popular card that i tot i lost the other day. he also stored smthg in the card for me to see when i get home later....
we took a stroll by the river towards fullerton, n he took lots of photos of me. =) altho not every one came out nicely since nite shots are exceptionally hard to capture perfectly. but i love posing anyway :p (will try to post some pix when i get it from him)
we rushed home to catch the last episode of dachangjin n cut my cake after that. it is a superduper rich marble cheesecake from the same bakery (The Baker's Story - highly recommended!!) that i got my huge cake from last yr. the usual bday song n wishes, n i tot my bday was over with him leaving for home.
but after my shower, i opened the file he stored in the SD card n cried. hahahaha, so silly of me, but cant help it lehz.... was very touched. juz like the pressie he gave me last yr.... cant help but cry...... he will haf a hard time out-doing himself for the rest of my birthdays. heehee
i change my mind. i like birthdays. an occasion to dress up, eat good food and receive pressies n well wishes and love from others - wats there not to like? i can hardly bare to cross out the date on my calendar.
