swollen finger

i've got a swollen middle finger. since last wed! reason enough for me to keep away from typing or blogging or watever. but i'm bored stiff at work today, bleah.

it was a weird finger. it swelled on wed. got better on thurs. worsen on fri again. was near total recovery on sat. n hurt like hell again on sun. apparently a battle my poor finger couldn't win against those evil bacteria. i lost slp many nites due to the constant throbbing that caused my entire right hand and sometimes even arm to go numb. bleahz, really wasn't v pleasant.

anyway, i reported to work as per normal yest n my boss insisted that i take half day to go n see doctor after seeing my ugly swollen finger. haha, so i gladly agreed.

it turned out to be an infection. u know sometimes there's a tiny strip of extra skin that grows on the rite n left of ur fingernail? well, i always pull it out coz i find them very ugly. n apparently, this time it wasn't so clean n got infected. juz my luck lah. even the doctor was laughing at me and said "bad luck loh". seriously, if this doc wasn't free (smu insurance), i wldn't go see him. he always sniggers at me and is so kiam abt giving MCs. *grrrrr* anyway, i hafta complete a 5day antibiotic course and apply the antibacteria cream....

today, it has begun to produce disgusting pus. yucks! lucky there's gauze in the office n i could change my bandage.

really, God's creation is so amazing. its only when a certain part of my body is invalid when i realise its worth, no matter how small or insignificant it seems. n i am astounded that a mere tip of the finger can coz such pain.

get well soon my pretty middle finger! i need you.
