'there's shit in the meat'
like wats new..... boring sch has started once again, the only diff is i'm old and graduating in 4 months. taking sociology with a class full of freshies and 2nd years. was toking to 2 girls.
me: so are u all first years?
them: no, 2nd years. u?
me: i'm final year
them (instantaneously): wah, so old!
like wat the hell rite. but i know they only haf such a reaction bcoz i look young n they din expect me to be final yr. haha, comforting myself. but then again, the other day, 2 boys approached me and they assumed i was >18 but <20 n when i said i'm older, they were so shocked too! wahahaha.
anyway, feng n i went to watch a movie last nite - Fast Food Nation. i have never been so disturbed after watching any movie b4, until this. haven't read the book n i'm sure its way better than the movie, but visuals are always so much more powerful.
i'm sure alot of pple will be more disturbed with the fact that everyday bcoz of untrained workers, guts n intestines are not cut properly and shit is spilled onto the meat n not washed off completely, resulting in dozens and dozens of platties that have shit in them. i'm grossed out thinking that there might be real crap content in my fave mushroom swiss burger, but wat really disturbs me is the viscious cycle of evil with regards to illegal immigrants working in the plant.
young sis, big sis n husband pays big money to cross the border. young sis n big sis' husband works in plant where every other worker is also an illegal immigrant from mexico n everyone takes some drugs to get thru the hard work. stupid young sis falls for plant supervisor who screws her and every other girl and gives her drugs. fast forward to big sis' husband who suffers a fall in the plant n broke a couple of ribs, but was not compensated as there was some drug content in his blood. big sis who oredi works in a hotel had to find more work to repay debts and asks for help from young sis' bf, ie supervisor. he claims that he loves her sis alot n wans to help but there was no available position in the plant. big sis had no choice but to let him screw her as well, n she got a position in the disgusting, smelly, bloody kill floor, pulling out cow's kidneys/guts/intestines.
despite the ill-treatment n hard work, south americans still risk their lives to cross the border as the low american wages still far exceed wat they can ever earn at home. so the cycle continues.
all of a sudden, i so wanna fight for human rights......... and castrate all those evil sex maniac supervisors.
