wisdom teeth op

extracted both my right side wisdom teeth on thurs morn. the upper one was just a simple extraction while the lower one was a surgery since it was impacted. did it at NDC for $345 which is the subsidized rate since i got a referral from polyclinic first. if not, it would be $900+! but subsidized patients do not have the privilege of choosing their surgeons/doctors. thank goodness me n my mum made a fuss at the counter explaining my previous traumatic experience when i took out my left lower wisdom tooth and swelled for a month (its true!) and managed to get a senior surgeon to do the job.

the anaesthetic injections hurt like hell and i cried. but the nurses there were really nice n kind and one came to hold my hand and kept comforting me. haha, i wonder if they knew i am going 23. the surgery was quite fast. they covered my eyes so i couldn't see wat was gg on. the doc drilled thru my gums n cut my impacted tooth into 3 parts to get them all out. she said she could see my nerve underneath which implied a higher possibility of prolonged numbness after the op. could sorta feel her pulling the thread n tied as she sewed my gums up. the upper tooth was relatively easy. just a pull n it was out.

i bled profusely the whole afternoon. mum was abit slow in cooking the porridge so by the time i had lunch, the painkiller injection wasn't effective anymore. ate abit n quickly took my medications. was SO painful, the tears kept flowing as i swallowed the pills. (- how the hell am i gonna give birth? i'll prob just pass out.) slept thruout the afternoon applying pressure to my right temple coz of the bad headache n woke up abt every hour to change the bloody goss in my mouth.

thank God things became better thereafter n altho my cheek is still swollen, several ulcers have developed, the insides are still painful and i cant eat or open my mouth or laugh properly, its nothing compared to day 1 or my previous awful experience in '02.
