Jupiter reminds
i really like my church n the messages i receive from the pulpit everyweek that are always so informative, remindful, stirring n applicable. thank God for a church that teaches the Word so fervently n truthfully.
our senior pastor included a little did-you-know tidbit in his sermon this week. it was abt jupiter being a divine vacuum cleaner that sucks clean any comets n meteorites that are heading earth's way due to its overwhelming gravitational pull, n thus sustains human life on our fragile earth. (

i was veryvery interested in the solar system n stars when i was young. of all the books in my enclycopedia series, Child Craft, i only regularly took out the book on "World n Space" to study abt the different constellations n characteristics of the various planets. i was fascinated with all this universe stuff that is so beyond my reach n even dreamt of being an astronaut. i also worked on this interest for my O levels' art project where my fabric design was based on the ideas of greek mythology n planets since the latter was named after greek gods.
so when paster toked abt this particular tidbit that i nv read abt, i was greatly touched n immediately teared. hahah. not bcoz he included planets in his sermon, but bcoz, here i was being so self-focused on my insignificant being n my job (or lackof) n not totally trusting our almighty God who created the heavens n earth n the entire universe with all its wonder n mystery. there's soo many things that i'm not aware of that God is doing for me every moment of my life! i mean, altho the creation of jupiter and its role as a vacuum cleaner affects the entire human race, its also for my survival too. most importantly, God bankrupted heaven and gave ALL, the best, His only Son, to His children on earth just so we can be reconciled with Him.
wat more can i ask? wat reason is there for not trusting totally n committing everything into His hands? none! nil! ...........................my bad.
