braving the storm with mum
tangs has some exclusive sale for members, so mum n i went shopping! am delighted coz i got 1) a very sensible n lady all-black working dress, 2) a dressy black n white floral prints party dress and 3) a classy grey jacket-shirt which was quite a steal since its price was oredi marked down. then we went over to wisma's food republic n settled for thai. it started pouring when we were abt to leave n we decided to brave the storm, which was quite a silly decision since the rain became sooo much tamer just after 10minutes. hahaha.
our car was parked at the open air carpark at far east shopping centre, so we had to walk quite a stretch of road. n the walkway was flooded! my pants was soaked to my thighs just 1/4 of the way. n as we were waiting for the man to turn green so we can cross the flooded orchard road to wheelock side, i rolled up my pants, my mum took off her heels since she decided to walk barefoot, n the bottom of my tangs paperbag which held all my brand new pretty clothes gave way, spilling my purchases into a puddle. Thank God! it was only a puddle n it didn't happen when i was halfway across the road or smthg n i managed to scoop them all up within 1 second so there wasn't too much damage. hahahhaha. but it was such an adventure n i was laughing all the way.
we got to our car rather wet n tired n mum busied herself with cleaning her feet. the funniest thing was when we finally returned home, she realised she only had one shoe with her. she had left the other side at the carpark. HAHAHA. after taking a hot shower, we went back n sure enough, the right side of her heels was sitting comfortably just right where she left it.
