work commences....
rite, i'm back n its really good to be home coz altho i enjoyed myself thoroughly abroad, i still miss my mummy.
my time in bangkok was nothing short of fantabulous. i made many new frens who're really nice pple. i mean, of coz there were some who're not so nice and unpopular, but u learn to deal with the good n bad in life. overall, it was great fun n kudos to the real frenly n hospitable thai frens who planned activities for us and brought us to cool places. i'm really lazy to write abt everything we did, so i'm just gonna copy n paste from our facebook group n elaborate alil. haha
September 3, 2007: CAPAP Kick-off at Bangkok - had dinner with various CFOs n biz heads
September 4, 2007: dinner at a really interesting restaurant - Cabbages & Condoms. then Suan Lum Night Bazaare (shopping)
September 5, 2007: Siam Square (shopping)
September 6, 2007: Movie Night at Siam Paragon
September 7-8, 2007: Team Building Activities at Baan Pha Ngam - some mountain resort where we did the typical rope challenges. it was a nice place. we could see thousands of twinkling stars n had an encounter with a snake.
September 8, 2007: photohunt, hotplate dinner + ktv at Esplanade
September 9, 2007: Royal Palace + Chatuchak Market (my fave shopping place)
September 10, 2007: Thai Traditional Massage (for 2hours! wow!) + Pizza dinner
September 11, 2007: didn't go out coz i wasn't feeling well
September 12, 2007: Run/Jog/Bike at the Park (i biked)
September 13, 2007: Khao San Road (shopping again)
September 15-16, 2007: Samed Island - beach getaway where we played frisbee, monkey in the sea, volleyball, soccer and banana boat!!! whee!
September 17, 2007: Study...
September 18, 2007: Study... supposely. but i gave up n went to highlight my hair. wahahaha
September 19, 2007: Burn midnight oil.......
September 20, 2007: Exam! + Dinner at Sorn Thong + Night out at Route 66 - my first ever time clubbing
September 21, 2007: End of Block I! + Lunch together at MK Gold Ekamai + Platinum (shopping again) + chitchatting till late
September 22, 2007: last minute shopping for me at Tesco supermarket + farewell
as u can see, it was fun-packed. n becoz i'm so popular, everyone came to my room nearly everynite to chitchat (gossip) and/or study. n my room became the hotel within the hotel coz my thai fren came to stay over in my room. okie, i'm kidding abt the popular part.... just so happened my room was at a very central location on the floor we were all on. n of coz i got along with most peeps too ah =)
ok.... i'm still quite exhausted from the trip.... slept like most parts of sunday except for the few hours in church. n was still falling aslp this afternoon at my 1st day of work bcoz it was sooo boring! basically, we were asked to familiarise ourselves with the corporate strategies of siemens and the programs they've implemented and guidelines from the intranet. gosh... me and isabel (fellow sg capap) nearly fell aslp at our work stations. but i'm sure it'll get better; first days are always lydat. rite now, we're in Corporate Risk Management for 2weeks. we'll be rotating for the next 7weeks to Logistics, Accounting and Finance and maybe some biz unit too... i'm sure will be able to get a good feel of the corporate departments. then the others will come to SG end november n it'll be my turn to play host. yikes!
anyway.... i'll post some slideshow next time..... photos are still with isabel. think the CAPAP team took like more than 1GB of photos altogether. so kua1 zhang1 rite?
