my first paycheck just came in later part of last week. i was quite startled when a colleague said, "i'm swimming in money now that we've just received our pay."
i didn't know how to respond.... i was really quite stunned.... i never tot anyone will ever say that. i mean, i never will. i dun think i'll ever reach a point in life when money's ever enough. i sincerely hope and pray that yes, i will get to that point someday, but i doubt it'll be soon given my circumstances.
fuel prices have increased to more than $1.80 per litre! i cant believe it! n i've gotta support both me and mum with my measly pay..... i sound disgruntled. but the truth is i'm not lah. i'm very thankful for this job and my exposure so far. i remember very clearly one day in BKK as i was sitting in class and falling aslp since it was some boring lesson, i sat up and thanked God that i was there! n not in some jap bank crunching numbers or monitoring the financial markets or pricing some hedging instrument or calculating some risk. that would be even more of a yawn man.
