Bangladesh - update 2
foood is not very interesting here..... i'm getting quite sick of it oredi. i really still do love chinese cuisine.
went to the countryside during the weekend. it was nice =)
my fave pix in the corn field, among some flowers and in the maize field...
along the way, we also visited some primary school and they arranged for us to give out some gifts. i tried interacting with a class of students and in the end, ended up singing 2 songs for them. it was really quite funny. coz it was like i was trying to teach some of them to say "hi"... but wasn't very successful. then was just standing in front of the class and i half jokingly suggested singing a song to pook (thai colleague). then other colleagues came in and said "ok, angela is gonna sing a song!" and the tour guide announced to the entire class and more students squeezed into the classroom.... lucky i managed to drag bel to sing tog with me. we sang twinkle lil stars. everyone clapped and some boy shouted "one more!" after we finished. so we sang barney's i love you song. the kids were quite appreciative and bel n i became "stars".
the visit made me think again about contentment vs ambition. how do you balance the two? sometimes i really think a simple life, an honest living, living with just the bare basics, is something i can get used to. i mean, i basically hafta accept that i will never feel totally clean, but otherwise, less complications is good..... maybe i'm meant for missions one day.......
there's much more that we did, but i'm too lazy and tired to tok abt more. update again another day.... ta~
