kiddo strip-er
my first day serving in the sunday school nursery2 class, ie the 4yr olds, was interesting to say the least. its just so fascinating to see how kids react to a new teacher, how they test waters, how they warm up to a new big person, etc. as usual, the naughtiest ones are always the friendliest ones. "jiejie, i make a cake for you! see the candle?" n he points to an imaginary candle. "wow~ so nice of you! u wan me to make a wish b4 i blow the candle?" he nods, and i do as he please.
as they were waiting for their parents to pick them up after service, i interacted with one of the naughty ones. seeing the water bottle he was carrying so proudly over his neck, i asked, "who is that??", referring to the plush character of his water bottle cover. he muttered smthg. "batman???" i asked. "BEN TEN" he exclaimed trying to pronounce it properly. "ahhhh... Ben 10," i acknowledged, without the faintest clue who this cartoon character is. i turned my attention to smthg else, but he came over and tugged at me, then pulled his shirt upwards exposing his tummy, in an attempt to lift his shirt for me to see clearly from my height. "see! see! ben ten also!" "ahhh, icic, okkkk," pulling his shirt back in place for him. n just when i got his shirt back in place, he pulled down his pants right there in the middle of the classroom, showing me his red hot colourful underwear n proudly declared, "see! power ranger!!"
the other teachers were laughing their heads off, as i stood there slightly embarrassed and tugging his pants back to its proper place.
