alien talk
am i too old for crushes? i mean, crushes are for teenagers rite?? but who cares la, i've had crushes since i was 11 or thereabouts, all the way till now. heehee~ yup. i've a new crush, who in my opinion, is quite a hunk. =)
"do you believe in aliens?" he asked me super randomly in a confined lift with other churchmates last sunday after the early morning prayer session. i was dazed n not exactly in alert mode, just vaguely aware that he was standing perpendicularly in front of me. that was the
first time he initiated smthg / spoke directly to me! previous encounters were casual conversations in a group n i dun even know if he knows my name (still dun think he knows...). but he noticed me! gosh, i'm really still like a teenager gushing abt my latest crush, haha. anyway, a thousand and one things were running thru my mind at that moment. what should i say?!! i've nv really really tot hard about the topic of aliens and life beyond earth. but i cant reply in some bimbotic manner like "i dunno" or appear without a mind of my own like "i'm not so sure leh..." or start a discussion in the confined space about the possibility of alien life in a whole different universe unmentioned in the bible, so the safest and easiest option was a No. n if he was to follow up with a "why not?" i can substantiate with answers like "the bible does not mention God creating aliens, blahblah"... within that second, i looked up at him, still with a wat-kinda-qns-is-that! kinda face, and replied "err... No."
His response was a "hmmm... its quite a good conversation starter qns". and thats it. a fren who knows abt my crush on him was trying hard to suppress her grin. and after we all came outta the lift, i told her i was on cloud 9! but she said i killed the conversation..... haha oh well.
this morning, he said HI pretty loudly when he saw me. =) ahhhh, the little perks of having crushes in ur life.
