twenty ten
well, the year started off pretty good since i got to see the countdown party's fireworks from the swissotel suite my uncle got for our family gathering and of coz his own stay for the nite. it really is kinda different, sipping pink champagne on the balcony, viewing the fireworks at eye level, compared to the thousands maybe? squeezing at the padang or lined up at the esplanade area. u do feel the difference in class inevitably. makes me wonder wat it'll be really like if i do manage to get a richie rich for a bf. from Boys Over Flowers, the korean F4 serial, Kim JanDi (female lead) asked Ju JunPyo (male lead): why me? i don't have the looks, the smarts nor the status. and he answered: i already have all that - the money, the intelligence, the status, the looks, Kim Jan Di is all else that i need. so dreamy rite? haha. koreans really haf a special way of making fantasies come true with their great sets, perfect scenery and apt music accompliment.
somehow developed a sore throat over the weekend (too much feasting i assume) and a fever while at work on monday 4th. and has quarantined myself at home ever since. the fever reached a high of 39.4 on mon nite and rushed to mt alvernia. "definitely influenza", the doc said. but they dont administer the swab test to confirm if its h1n1 anymore. "its not accurate anyway", he said, "tamiflu will work and by tmr ur fever should be gone." sure enough, it broke by the next day. but the cough persisted :( Sinus infection was the diagnosis when i went back to him on sun. so after 6days of MC, i'll be back at work tmr. my boss smsed me just now, "U better?" and i told him that i'll be in tmr. his reply: "that's good news, pls rest well today :-)" plus a smiley man... he must be soooo under trying to cover for me, but knowing him, nothing much is and there'll still be a tonne for me to settle.
yup. so that's the start of 2010 for me. not too good with this sudden bout of serious illness, but nonetheless, i'm thankful. at least it happened after all the good shopping and feasting ;) as i reassured a fren: no worries, i'll be well in time for cny :P
